O melhor: Muy buena ubicación, frente al metro, cerca de muchos lugares de compras, al lado está la parada del autobus que te lleva a singapur

We stayed two night and we tryed to book another hotel. The build was from 60, the rooms didn't have heat cooler because between june-august they were doing mantainance task!!! For sake ! At 27°C on June you did mantainance for 3 months? The water is not free 2,5€. A pint of beer 7,4€. The service tryed to explain why we must pay the water but didn't know how.. They limited to point the finger to the poster of scandic water. If you can book to another hotel just do it.

Stayed one night as we passed Kajaani. It was a little cheaper than others, so thats why we stayed here. Hotel ok, on the outside of downtown. Doubleroom had to single beds but side by side. They will slide apart if you try sleep next to eachother.... pluss for sauna in the bathroom. Didnt get internet to work, got some code from the tv - but it wouldnt log on. It was late, so we didnt use too much time figuring it out. We might have done something wrong.... Ok breakfast, normal finnish breakfast I would say.

Arrived very late on a Sunday evening to be told that the restaurant wasn't open at all on a Sunday - so no food available at all! Also noticed that if you are staying for the Sunday evening you have to inform reception by 10am if you want your room serviced! I know Kajaani is beautiful and a little remote - but I think some service should be available for weary travellers. Room was large and comfortable. Didn't appear to be 'up to date' but I've stayed in far worse (unknowingly).

Scandic Kajanus has ended up to Scandic chain after an acquisition in 1990's when Arctia Hotels joined the Scandic chain. Thus it is a bit different from the "standard" Scandics, but has been refurbished since my last visit. At least the restaurant areas and rooms had been updated. I had a single room (only one single bed), which is soon a rarity in Finnish hotels. Doors do not seem to keep the noise very well out, so next time I will ask for a room far away from the partitioning doors on the corridors that banged at night as people were walking on the corridor. No real complaints, the hotel was an ok place to stay. It is about a 5 - 10 min walk from the immediate downtown on the other side of the river, but literally in the corner of a bridge to town. Breakfast was a good wholesome buffet as in all Scandic hotels.

Kajaani is a small town and there are not many hotels. Scandic Kajanus is the best one. I have been there with family and on a business trip.Location is great by the river and close to downtown. They have spacious rooms for families. I was really lucky to have a room with sauna on a business trip alone. They have been renovating rooms and new rooms are on a modern Scandic level. Of course Kajanus is not a luxorious or boutique hotel, but it is really the best choise for a hotel in Kajaani. It is a comfortable Scandic Hotel.

Spent one night in Kajanus on our way from Helsinki to Lapland and another on our way back. Chose this hotel because of their good price for family room, 3 adults and 2 kids less than 100€/night. I have stayed in Scandic Gothenburg and Scandic Vierumäki during last year and this Kajanus was far from the quality I got used to elsewhere. The pool water was freezing. And not by accident the receptionist told me. There was no water at all in the jacuzzi. Tomatoes, salad, cucumbers and bread were fine on breakfast but coffee and eggs were terrible. On our first night we made a mistake and ate here. 16€ for a Caesar salad that tastes like paper and 7,40€ for a beer. On our second night we chose to eat elsewhere. There was a band playing in night club on our first night, but the admission wasn't free for hotel customers. Not something I'm used to.. It was not so nice to find a spare toilet paper roll covered in blood. Propably left behind by other customer but still.. When I took the roll to reception the receptionist just said ok, I'll throw it away. Beds weren't comfy, the toilet seat was covered with the kind of dirt that you can't wash away anymore. Next time we'll definitely choose other place to stay. Without good price I would have given just one star.

Traveled here for business for 2 weeks at the end of November. The rooms were above my expectations, as I've never been to Kajaani before this trip. I had a junior suite with my own personal Sauna which was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. And diner at night was also great. Hotel internet was exceptional and met my business needs. I had a great view of the lake and youre spitting distance from the downtown core of Kajaani, just across the bridge. I know this is a Scandinavian thing, but to this day there's still 2 single beds per room? It would be nice if you guys finally upgraded to queen/king beds as I'm getting too old to sleep in a single bed.
