Dirty towels with stains, a pool that looks like a dirty swamp, hot breakfast now that's a joke all we found was a loaf of bread with jelly no butter for the toast and a box of cereal with warm milk that was sitting on the counter. Cockroaches in are room don't worry just a few during our stay. The one positive thing was the front desk woman had a wonderful personality and was very hel
My husband and I was on our way to the beach, it was late and we were very tired. We came off the Hwy and found this motel, the price was good. We asked for a Non Smoking King size bed. Now we didnt expect a Hampton room, the room we were put in was nice for the price. The desk clerk she was very nice and helpful. The room was clean it had fridge and microwave (we didnt need for only one night) the tv is a little older but like i said its no Hampton at least it worked and We got to watch HBO. The WIFI was working good. If needed i would stay again.
This place was a nightmare but the only place available when we went. We got a non smoking room that smelled like a 50 year old ashtray! Gag, gag, cough! Dirty? Oh, if you call finding a pair of dirty underwear under the bed and a tube of joy jelly behind the TV, you might call this room DIRTY! No towels, horrible service but all that was peaches compared to the drug deals, drunkards and rent by the hour pimping it action going on! Lovely...the place was just freaking lovely! Enjoy your stay!
Upon arriving in room, noticed there were no towels or wash cloths. Tried to use phone in room to call housekeeping, no dial tone. Went to counter to inform check in workers, stated someone would beat room with linens shortly. After checking rest of room for any other needs, we found hair on sheets and sheets were full of holes. Chairs in room were stained in the seat and back areas. After a 30 minute wait for housekeeping we went and requested a refund. Upon returning to the desk, notices a health rating of 76, hidden behind desk, in corner of wall. Stay away from this motel.
I stayed here last night. My fault for not asking over the phone of they had interior corridors because they don't. It was last minute and late and I had no choice. The room smelt smoky. The hair dryer caught on fire. Towels are the size of hand towels and they put us in a connecting room, which the lock was broken.. The breakfast was half a box of generic Cheerios, milk, half a loaf of generic toast, but the coffee was good lol. Consider this a last resort. Everyone was friendly and this area is country and nothing is around except the gas station I guess right next door.. The water pressure of the shower was amazing though! Beds are hard but seemed clean.. Like I said.. If everything this is booked I would use this as an absolute last resort. And yes you have to pay upfront. Wifi was fast and heater worked great.
My husband and I stayed at value inn for roughly 10 days over Christmas of 2012. The positives: 1) The staff at the counter is very friendly. 2) Free ice, fridge and microwave (upon request) 3) They offer reasonable monthly rates. 4) They are also one of the very few places in Asheboro that still has smoking rooms which was great for my husband. 5) Free WiFi 6) The walls are very thick. 7) The curtains are great black out curtains. I should mention that my husband and I typically like to stay in dive type motels and we have often been very lucky finding reasonably priced places that had eclectic charm and were clean. This hotel was not one of the best. The negatives, and some of this should have been expected with a rating of C 74 or 75. 1) The bathroom had many loose and already missing tiles around the tub. 2) When we checked in the bathroom light was burnt out, a few other lamps didn't work or just flickered but wouldn't stay on. I took a working bulb and put it into one of the bedside lamps since that one was burnt out. 3) Upon staying here for a few days on of the screws on the commode fell out. 4) The phone in the room would ring out but had no dial tone to call out of the room and the entire faceplate was missing. (When I called the front desk to inform them they said they would put in a work order and the gentleman would arrive the next day. He never showed. It wasn't a huge deal because we had our cell phones.) 5) The hotel was advertised as having HBO, if it did we never found it. 6) The paneling around the walls was peeling back and the carpet was coming up in areas. 7) One of the chairs was broken. 8) The mattress and pillows are very old. Still despite being able to feel the springs the bed gave us a good nights rest if you like hard mattresses. We brought our own pillows which solved the pillow problem. 9) There were a huge number of bugs. Mostly roaches. When they dropped off the fridge it still had a dead bug inside. We kept all our food in the fridge to keep bugs from getting in. There did seem to be a few roaches living in the microwave. 10) There was no coffee maker but we brought our own. 11) Perhaps the most disturbing thing was the bloody fingerprints my husband found on the safe. When we put a black light on the wall it seemed there had been blood splattered on the wall but cleaned off. If you are used to Hampton Inns, Hiltons etc. you will more than likely NOT like this place. While $45 a night or $215 for a week is a good price I have stayed at better cleaner places with no bugs for the same price. In this area though there is very little else for the price and again with a C rating some of this is to be expected.
I stayed at the value inn for 3 nights with my grand daughters. I enjoyed my stay it was near to the zoo and eating places. The price they gave me was great and the pool was relaxing after being at the zoo all day. The staff was very friendly, they gave me extra towels, my bath room light went out on my 2nd night stay they sent someone to fix it. The room was clean. It was not Hampton but with what i paid for it was nice. All i asked for was a nice clean room and i got it. I would stay again.
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. We killed 15-20 bugs in the shower and 2 spiders in the sleeping area of our room. We had no towels, even though we asked for them. The bedding was stained and the matresses had holes in them and were worn. The microwave and refrigerator were dirty and I would've never used them. The bathroom was dirty. The pool was green and as a swimming instructor, I would not allow my kids to swim. We had no continental breakfast (false advertising) and the coffee tasted like mud. I showered in my flip flops and never went barefoot in the room as it was so dirty. Would never stay here again.
i have worked at this hotel in the past we were told specifically not to rent poolside building to locals or blacks the other building the owner told the housekeepers not to worry about how clean they got the rooms. i have personally seen cockroaches bedbugs and rats. I have seen people that were selling drugs, prostituting themselves and even 1 night while i was working i had a guy come in that had been stabbed in the throat. if any of this you dont believe, when you get in to Ashboro ask the first cop you see what they think of this hotel they will be more than happy to let you know everything i have said is true. Ohh yeah and the best part is when the fire inspectors come by they put fire alarms in the rooms but the second they leave they go right back in the rooms and take them out . P.S the owners room numbers are 180 and 182 they love to have people come to their rooms anytime there is a problem sincerely ex employee jessica
We booked a room in advance because my daughter was going to the prom with a boy from that area. It was one of the cheapest rooms - BIG MISTAKE - and judging by the pictures, we thought it looked nice. The room had not been thoroughtly cleaned; the leg on our bed was broken and the bed kept falling on the floor every time we turned over; the heating/ac didn't work properly and we had to get up throughout the night to adjust it. Between the broken bed leg and adjusting the heating/ac, we got very little sleep. What sleep we did get was interrupted by a large group of Hispanics having a wild party all night long. They kept coming by our room, loud and noisy. The next morning we went for breakfast - ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE! Some of the food looked like a classic case of food poisoning, waiting to happen. It looked left over from the day before and there was no one stocking or taking care of the dining area. The coffee, milk and juice were watered down to the point that it tasted nothing lik
