I had reserved a room early in the morning. I got to the hotel around 9:30pm. About an hour after getting my room key, I was sitting in my room gettingdy stuff ready for a video shoot the following morning and I hear the door being opened and a couple walked in and had apparently been given a key to my same room! And to top it off there was no comforter on my bed. I had to call in the middle of the night for a thicker blanket. My door also did shut completely without forcefully closing it. The breakfast in the morning was good though!

We stayed here for one night, first hotel/motel we came to as we arrived into Bellingham. Long day of travel. Asked to see room and it looked very clean. Took option for second floor, easy access from rear carpark. Good price, clean very comfy bed, usual scenario room updated and bathroom not! Very noisy plumbing indeed. Breakfast included and one of the better ones that we've experienced along the way. Actually we would stay here again.

My husband and I booked this hotel because we just wanted something inexpensive for one night on our way to another destination. Big mistake - it was the loudest hotel I have ever been to. We could hear other guests snoring through the walls, and the people staying above us were extremely loud until well after 3:30 in the morning. We also fell asleep (or tried to, anyway) to the sound of people having a screaming match and fistfight outside our window. This all came after having to switch rooms because the one we were given had not been cleaned properly (messy beds, garbage in the cans, used towel on the bathroom counter). We will definitely not stay here again. Lesson learned - pay a bit extra and stay someplace where we might actually get to sleep. And frankly, even at the "inexpensive" rate of $90, this was a total rip-off.

Upon arrival, I used the sink to brush my teeth and in addition to the difficulty in managing the force of water that came out of the faucet, the sink backed up immediately. We called front desk, she offered to move us to a room with a smaller bed, but we were exhausted and didn't want to move rooms, so my partner asked for a plunger to unstop sink. She brought it right away. Of course, the thought of where that plunger had been... Then I took a shower, the water didn't stay warm for long, the pressure was terrible, and then when I got out of the shower and settled in, the cops showed up and I had to hear their exchange with another hotel guest for about an hour. That is not the fault of the hotel, but the fact that I could hear every word of the exchange was one example of the complete lack of noise insulation. The noise did not end there. every single time someone left or entered their room on our floor, it slammed and shook my bed. And, the headboards were ill-mounted, so just leaning on my headboard made it bang, and so it wasn't a huge surprise when at 7 the next morning I was awakened by the people in the room next door banging the headboard (with earplugs in, no less). The WiFi didn't work, so I had to call front desk to have her reboot router, and that did fix it, but it was still slow. I can deal with a lot when I travel if the room is cheap enough (which it wasn't), but I wouldn't stay here again if it was FREE.

A nice stay. The room had everything needed. The location was okay even for someone without a car (15-minute walk downhill to coffee shops and restaurants or a $5 cab ride; bus stop nearby). A few breakfast options provided by the reception area (coffee, juice, muffins, waffles, eggs). Overall, good value.

I hate to give bad reviews as I'm sure this affects people business and i know everyone tries hard however I have to give a thumbs down to this hotel. We stayed here to be close to WWU where our son was at a basketball camp. There are a few hotel/motels along this strip and quite frankly none of them look like they are outstanding (and the area is a little questionable too ). When we drove around later we realized the Fairhaven District is as close, if not closer, to the University as the Days Inn. Fairhaven is a really quaint area, lots of cure shops, nice restaurants and definitely a nicer area than where we were. When we drove up to the Days Inn the first thing you see is a boarded up window on one of the suites because it looked like the balcony had fallen off - not a great first impression but one that might be unavoidable. We knew it was going to be a basic motel on the highway but have stayed at Best Westerns, Holiday Inns, Hampton Inn and thought it would be along the same line. The lobby has been updated but as soon as you got to the stairs I'm sure the carpet was the original carpeting from the 70's and not necessarily clean. No matter, we headed to our room on the second floor. The room was outdated which isn't a problem but the wallpaper in the bathroom was literally peeling off, there was a rusty coloured stain in the sink which I thought I could clean - but couldn't. We went to move the table to set out our suitcases and the table leg fell off so we put it back in place as best we could. It was incredibly hot that weekend so went to put on the air conditioner but it didn't work so opened the balcony door (because the "Exec suites" have balconies) and hoped it was safe as the one beside us was the one boarded up. Standing on the balcony there was a full glass of cigarette butts sitting on the rail. It was becoming a little funny as everything was just bad but the kicker ( and this was no fault of the hotel) was that whoever was above us did not go to sleep all night! Obviously the hotel is not that well built as we could hear them walking around, stomp, stomp, stomp, all night. We asked to change rooms the next day and got the third floor where no one was above. The staff was very nice and accommodating (probably because they are so used to complaints). The room smelled of smoke but at least the air conditioner worked and it was quieter. The decor was just as bad and funnily enough the table leg on this table also fell off too! The pool is clean but right beside the road and in the parking lot. Other basketball team families were staying here too and I have to say, all of them felt the same way about this hotel. Breakfast was included but it was very basic at best. If we were paying $60 a night I wouldn't really expect much but for $130 a night it was unacceptable. Some families got a better deal by booking in person ($99) which also didn't thrill us. None of us would book there again and would go to Inn in Fairhaven District - much more expensive but what a nicer memory we would have., or stay closer in to downtown Bellingham and find a better hotel.

The Days Inn was a very good room for the price. Nice continental breakfast, friendly staff. I was concerned upon arrival to find a dirty towel in the bathroom - and I am a stickler for cleanliness. It was quite noisy with an altercations happening outside - not sure how often that happens. However, someone was in the vicinity to address the disturbance. We usually do not watch much television, but we saw ads for in-room movies to purchase. However, after choosing a movie, we discovered, they actually do not have this feature.

Great stay. Room was very clean and nice. The building itself was rundown and needs updating but over all a great, nice, clean stay and the service was great!

The staff at this hotel were awesome especially Lyndsey. She was friendly and helpful and very accomodating to our need for extra blankets and pillows since they were out of rollaways! The pool was ok smaller, not much room to layout. If the property were newer I would probably rate this a 4. The area of town had good restaraunts, we ate at a Thai restaraunt right next door that was good.

This hotel needs some serious renovations and upgrades. The room did not smell good, the furniture was old and dirty, the mattresses were old and have probably not been flipped in a very long time. Sheets/towels/blankets very worn out. Amenities were not refilled. Bathroom door would not close. Will never stay here again.
