Passei uma noite em Santa Barbara em novembro de 2012. Escolhi esse Days Inn basicamente porque era o mais barato entre os de qualidade minimamente aceitável (para mim) e localização. Não me arrependi.

First thing to say is that I arrived in Santa Barbara in high tourist season without a reservation and needing a room for 3 people for 2 nights and on a budget. The area is on average very expensive and the medium-high range motels and inns which are really lovely were all completely booked. La Quinta is at the end of the main street 5 minutes away by car or shuttle from the best shopping, dining and cafés. 10 minutes from the mission, the zoo and the beautiful beaches. It is a pretty standard American motel recently renovated (most rooms). We were given a remodeled room with 2 very comfortable queen beds and modern bathroom with a large shower (no tub). No view and the large window looked on the open corridor so you can't really open the double curtain but unexpectedly there was no problem with noise. Parking is both indoor and outdoor. Wi-fi worked very well and breakfast was very nice, great muffins and pastries, fruit, waffles etc.. The rooms were very clean. The pool is ok and my daughter enjoyed swimming in it before going to dinner. I suggest asking for the new rooms to avoid surprises. There are also a few rooms on the other side of the parking lot away from the main building which I wouldn't suggest as they are provably noisy because of the cars. The price for SB was very affordable especially since we didn't reserve through internet offers. Maybe it is not as charming as other inns in the area but for a couple of nights it is certainly a nice place. The reception staff is very young and truly lovely. They do a great job also with helping with directions and tourist info, maps etc... Thank you for all the help and keep on smiling!

as was stated by other travelers, this hotel ? was under renovation when we stayed there in June . i booked this hotel months earlier and read the reviews . i like to give a little leeway for reviews as we all have different opinions about hotels . this was by far the worst hotel in our 5 week tour of California, it was hard to find even though we came down state st i could not find it , request PUT A SIGN UP,when i did find it i nearly fell out of the car, check in was in the car park and yes UNDER A TENT and a small one at that. the young guy and girl there were doing there best ,its not there fault , we get the key and head for the room . straight out of the ghost town we visited in BODIE .it smelt awful, the decor was horrible the be was shocking , and to top it off we went for breakfast in the morning at 9.10 only to find the room locked and the staff sitting down having there breakfast .we were told it was open until 10am . hello IHOP. and for all this excitement i PAID $ 253.40 Australian . at that price i could have got a 4 star hotel in NYC. this make us not likely to book into a DAYS INN hotel anywhere on our next trip to the USA

We only spent the night so we did not experience many of the things on this list. The hotel was under renovation which accounted for the looks and is understandable from my point of view!

mini refrig wasn't working properly in our room, room was old but comfortable, hotel lobby was in renonvation process so check in wasn't smooth, had to wait for room. Good location though within blocks of all shops/restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as a last minute decision. We paid just over $200 which was well overpriced for what we received. The lobby was very modern and contemporary and had high hopes for the room! When we got to room it was on the far side of car park and the room was so dated and in desperate need of a make over. Every surface in the main room was sticky, although the rest of the room was clean. The only way I can describe this room is like something out of a movie where a suspect takes it victims!....... On the plus side the staff where very friendly and the breakfast had a good selection! This hotel is undergoing a major reservation while we was there and believe rooms in main hotel have had there make over. Hopefully all will be well and the hotel reviews will improve once the hotel is finished.

Keeping in mind that this property was in the final stages of renovation: 1) AC did not work (fan was operational but unit did not produce any cool air), front desk was notified around 9pm but no one was available to fix the problem. Opening window did not help since the light outside the room was very bright so the drapes blocked any outside breeze. Fitted sheet on the king-size bed was too small and came off during the night. Alarm clock buzzer went off at midnight. Reception was apologetic in the morning and provided a discount but we expect more from a 3-star AAA property. On the plus side - great location.

This hotel was being remodeled at the time of my stay. As a result I felt anxious regarding my safety due to lighting and unoccupied areas as well as the fact that the elevator was out of order when I needed to check out so I took the stairs with my luggage only to be trapped by plastic sheeting in an area being painted. A painter had to guide me out through an unmarked door which led to the pool The staff was very pleasant however

Check in was rude. Gave us a bad room, Comprimised security of credit card by hand writing number on a blank piece of paper. Both nights people came home drunk, loud screaming and yelling in the middle of the night. Deleveries across the street very loud at 5 a.m. Never cleaned our room. Towels old and yellowed . Rude yelling at me when I mentioned the poor service at check out.A terrible mistake. I have stayed here 20 years. Never again.
