At the Clock Tower Inn a piecemeal cluster of buildings are thrown together in what proves to be a bit of a confusing trek to find your room. Despite the odd layout, this isn't a bad place to stay, right in the heart of downtown Billings with numerous dining options a block or two away. The rooms are large and well appointed, with a handful of little touches to add to the comfort of your stay. The one touch that felt a little like overkill was the "fresh remote," a TV remote sheathed in a felt baggie, catering -- I suppose -- to the germophobes terrified of touching a dirty remote. My biggest beef was the smell of the room, a musty, cigarette smoke smell that lingers from back when no-smoking rooms were unheard of. Nevertheless, for non-smokers (like myself) this is a bit of a bother. Don't get this Best Western confused with being a Hotel -- it's a Motel, albeit a Motel you would never lump in with the cheap-o spots littering Interstates. Bottom line: the Clock Tower Inn is a pretty decent option if you can get it for the right price.
Upon pulling into the parking lot, I was sure that my coworker had reserved us rooms at yet another "dump". It had been a long day of travel and I just wanted to sleep. When I walked into my room, it was like there was angels singing! The bed was very very comfortable, the jetted tub was amazing and the room was so clean! To top it off, breakfast at Stella's the next morning, it made my stay amazing!! I will definitely be coming back!
At check in, we were very please with all information provided. Also we asked where we should go to eat and were directed to T-Joes - just one exit away from where we were staying. Directions were given and we went and enjoyed steak like it is meant to be - scrumptious. Also very personable wait staff. Thanks for a great experience.
BW Clocktower in Billings, Mt is well located, easy walking distance to several attractions. Hotel has all necessary amenities (pool & spa, athletic center) situated right next to an excellent "bakery" restaurant for fabulous breakfasts and lunches and quite near to nice dining. Staff are exceptional and very helpful. We've been staying there for over 30 years. Renovated rooms are a pleasure to stay in, flatscreen TV's, Wifi, nice lobby with fireplace.
I would consider this hotel a high end motel. It's not your Hilton/Marriott properties but it gets the job done. It's clean, the people are helpful and the breakfast at Stellas is unbelievable! Overall, I would stay there again on business without a doubt.
Luxurious towels and wash cloths. comfortable and clean room.. Poolside, but quiet. Breakfast at next-door restaurant good ( Huge Montana pancakes) with ticket, but was very busy our day there. Go early if possible. Downtown across from bus station.
Great hotel, just love it.This hotel is right downtown in Billings. Very close to lots of fine dining and entertainment.A lot of history is all around this area of town, the old train depot for example as wel as museums, etc. Also, Billings is a good send off point from which to explore surrounding areas such as the Little Big Horn battlefied or Custer's Last Stand as it used to be known as. About an hours drive south into north eastern Wyoming is all it takes to get you there.
After 10 hours on the road on a motorcycle, we were worn out and looking for a place to stay. The front desk staff was fantastic. She was very efficient getting us checked in and into our nicely remodeled air conditioned rooms. I stayed here once in 2006 and the rooms were nothing special at that time. This time I found that the hotel has been remodeled and is above average for what you would expect from this type of hotel. The pool is also newly remodeled and is an outside pool on the second level. The courtyard around the pool is nicely decorated and you would never know that you are right downtown in Billings. Very nice place with a fantastic staff....
Rooms were very clean. The rooms by the pool are much quieter. Had some problems with noise in other areas of the hotel. Disappointed with no continental breakfast. A little difficult to access. Vending machines are very spread out.
Rooms are good - looks recently remodeled and definitely a cut above your typical 2-story moter hotel. What you really want to know about is the staff. SUPER friendly, helpful, especially with shuttling around town. I visited on a business trip and got a lift to-and from my client on multiple days. The complementary breakfast at Stella's cafe right next door is fantastic. Don't think twice - BOOK THIS BABY!
