It's a little hard to find and arriving at night could find you fighting the crowds with your luggage...( guess when I arrived ) but once you get to the hotel, the street noise is a minor hum. Rooms are not huge but are kept clean. Shower is good with lots of hot water. The breakfast is well-laid out and replenished regularly...lots of coffee. Being very close to KhaoSan and Rambuttri makes it ideal for location. Staff is fun and helpful.
We stayed here for a couple of days before heading to Surin for a medical volunteer mission. Close to Khao San road, it was convenient to stay here and still be accessible to shopping and fun. However, the rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. Lets just say you can take a shower while sitting on the toilet. Haha. If you're only going back to the room to rest, and you don't want to spend a lot of money it'll do the trick.
It a nice hotel for budget travelers. Situated right at the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown it a crowded place to say the least. Due to it accessibility which is quite a hassle, for travelers with heavy luggages bcos you have to negotiate thru side lane from the crowded Khosan Road. Room space is limited in size.
You get what you pay for, but to be perfectly honest you dont want to be spending all your time in a hotel room when you have the city of Bangkok on your doorstep. Rooms have Aircon, wifi and a TV with a fridge. Cheap rates and right in the centre of KhaoSan road.
Arrived during songkran celebrations. Nightmare as Koh San rd was chock a block with water fighters. Luckily I found a way down a side alley to the hotel. The receptionist charged 100 baht for 24 hours of wifi. Only place in whole of Asia where I had to pay for wifi in the hotel. Bedroom was small. Wouldn't have survived it without the Deet spray. Spray everything! Twice! Bathroom & shower were functional, nothing special. The bedroom doors have fittings for you to attach padlocks to the door - I did so & was the only way I felt my belongings were safe. Didn't eat a meal in the hotel, only fruit for breakfast. Can't fault location- however the back alley to get into Koh San road absolutely stinks!!!!
I stayed this hotel for 1 night, hotel has a great location but room is very small and dirty, hot water is not enough . i saw a cockroach on floor .It made me bad feeling.i will not come back anymore i think there are many hotels you can choose even cheapper than this hotel
We stayed 1 night in room G4. Reception staff were ok. Room smelt like cigarettes and must. Found 6+ cockroaches within 2minutes. Dirty sheets/bedding. Toilet had definitely not been cleaned before our arrival! Had read reviews that there were bed bugs, didn't see any, however we slept on top of bedding and sprayed ourselves with deet just in case. Bathroom was very small and had to stand in the shower to shut the door, shower curtain very mouldy. Free breakfast buffet was ok. Did try and charge us for taking toothpaste & map that we did not even see, but still gave 500baht deposit back. We have moved to New Siam guest house for same price and it is much much better.
Small rooms, tiny bathroom. The rooms are dark and really old. Staff want to sell you wifi passwords even if its for free. For the two of us they only wanted to give us one password... Silly... This was the only place for weeks that I have seen where they want to charge for wifi... The breakfast is quite nice and cheap. Tasty and plentiful. But it just saves you time, since there is good food everywhere around anyways...
Yeah, it could have be better if the bedding was better the mattress look and fell like one hundred years old. Very uncomfortable to sleep, for the rest no complaint , the shower had cold water, the hot water did Not work but it was ok, with the hot temperature . The rest was fine, air conditioned , TV, fridge in the room, great. The hotel was situated in the heart of Khosan road ,the touristic place of BBK . The breakfast was included in the price, fantastic breakfast with good choice of menu.
Not my personal choice to stay but I survived. I don't even know now much the room cost but I hope it wasn't too expensive. Free wifi- no-but it was 100baht for 24 hours which was acceptable. Hopefully you don't mind showering over/near a toilet, the bathroom is so tiny but it was manageable. Unfortunately because of its central position if you are trying to get an early night you.l need earplugs. The hallways are quite loud and sometimes the staff are just yapping next to your window. I would only recommend this hotel if its literally a 1 night stopover or you are not planning on sleeping
