Easy check in and out .Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and well maintained room .In room coffee! Free, good breakfast. and right across from the beach. I love this place. Esp . the rooms. In the summer the pool is very nice and always clean. Nice outsid seating area fo beach watching . close to everything.
The front desk staff was extremely helpful from supplying a toothbrush and toothpaste to printing boarding passes. They were courteous at all times. Awesome customer service! The waffles shaped like the state of Texas was a nice touch too!
Brought our small dog with us and was very welcome! Great location with beach across street, breakfast and steak restaurants next door. Nice large room with closet, microwave, and fridge. Great staff. Would definitely come back to this motel again.
This was my first trip away from home in several years; since an accident made everything difficult. It was important to take my dog Jake along as we've become rather close in the past few years. My wife booked a "handicap" room for a couple of nights during the middle of the week. The room was described to me as larger with a chair-accessible shower. We were changed, we our agreement, to a room close to the front desk handicap parking right outside our door. Seemed like a normal-sized room with a king-sized bed and a tiny bath with no handicap bars. The recliner and another chair made a great place for me to sleep (nerve damage won't let my legs come in significant contact with anything). Weather was great, fantastic long walks along the Seawall, and great restaurants nearby (along with the nice breakfast at the hotel made for a great stay. We made reservations for several days in December!
The suite was very roomy, price was fair, clean and convenient to the beach, but the only problem was the card keys would frequently not work so would have to go downstairs to reset them. I would go back because the value and location was worth it.
While the beach across from the hotel wasn't quite what we had expected, it was more than made up for by the staff. Helpful at every turn, answered every question, and did everything possible to make sure our stay was a good one.
The motel did not have enough parking available for all guests. When we checked in we were told we could park on the street! Totally unacceptible. The room was okay, but definitely not worth the price we paid. Website for hotel also lead us to believe we were right across the street from a sandy beach, there was no sand, just lots of rocks, very misleading. Pool was adequate, but nothing to rave about. Breakfeast okay.
I was so impressed with this hotel. We stayed one night, right on the beach, for a very reasonable rate. They were out of cots for my son but other than that the staff was friendly, the pool and rooms were clean and comfortable and up to date. I even left my swimsuit behind in my room and the staff went out of their way to search for it after I had already checked out. Great hotel for the price! Did I mention it's just across the street from the beach, just ten steps away!
I took my girls to Galveston for a Mommy & Me getaway. I chose this hotel because it was near the beach and my other preferences were sold out. I paid $250 for one miserable night at this hotel. The room as humid, there were dry blood stains on the bathroom wall, the air conditioner went out, the bathroom facet leaked the whole time, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were lumpy, there was a barking dog next door to us which made it even more impossible to rest. The hotel was sold out and we couldn't be moved to another room. The unprofessional staff did absolutely NOTHING to appease our dismay so I checked out as fast as possible the next and vowed that I would NEVER return. However the quality time shared with my children is priceless so the ridiculous price paid for crappie service and accommodations was worth it.
This is a very kid friendly hotel...it was clean and safe. I traveled alone with my 3 children and which I had never did before so I had some concerns with safety but it was awesome and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The onlu reason I didn't rate this excellent was because of the parking or lack of. My son is handicapped and we were in a handicap room but there was only 1 handicap parking space which unless you never leave your room was always occupied. When I went to the front desk to ask where there was additional parking as all the spots were full she couldn't really tell me where to park and only said yes we are very full...so to me parking was a big deal....It made it diffcult to carry him in and out of the room to our vehicle but other than the parking it was awesome and clean and my kids loved the breakfast. I would stay here again!
