As everyone else has said this hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. Staff are great though and the beds are very comfortable. Not enough lighting in main part of bedroom. Food is okay if you eat meat. Vegetarian is a concept that seems not to be known here. Resort is fantastic and food there is much better. Special thanks to "Mary-Ann" in the resort restaurant. An absolute gem and always ready with a smile. Would stay here again if the prices were right. Also why no free WiFi. Starbucks and McDonald's provide it free but hotels don't, go figure.
Got to this hotel by mistake, in a hurry. Pros - - a beach is very good. Spacious, clean, white sand, almost no people. Cons - - you have to go on a bus to a beach as it picks up people from another hotel. - food is not very diverse. - a hotel is in a city but it is not possible to go anywhere as it is too hot. So, location is not good. Only for a business trip. Take "all inclusive" or "full board". - a mold in a bathroom. - no free internet, even in a lobby. - furniture is old and worn. - garbage is in bushes on the property. Mostly wrappers. Probably, it is just swept out sidewalks.
Well where do I start . arrived 17aug after long overnight flight very tired not supposed to check in till 1400 but rooms ready for us all(9 of us in 2 family's) which was a real bonus .First opinion nice clean hotel .Went up to rooms(we had interconnecting) very big rooms plenty of storage ok bit old but very clean. So far so good, unpacked then went for a dip.Oh dear ,the pool is shocking its falling to bits ,my kids used to see how much of the pool they could find on the bottom ,all the tiles were coming off and the sides were all cracked, I was surprised it held water plus it was like getting in a bath, really warm ,not refreshing at all(if you want a cold pool go across road to double tree it's freezing and on the roof 17 floors up ,it's an experience). Just have to mention the pool bar men Hur and Alan they were fab looked after us brilliantly.FOOD.well if you read my reviews you will know I stopped in the jebal Ali last year and ok we weren't expecting the same quality but stopping in a Hilton expected a lot better. We were on all inclusive and to be honest not good especially for kids, when we first arrived we asked for fish fingers for kids and you would have thought I asked for caviar ,was told it was a la carte was disgusted had strong words with manager and eventually got what I asked for but had to order kids food separate every night,IT NEEDS A KIDS CORNER must be the only hotel Iv been too without a kids corner. The other food was all Eastern European and ok could find something to eat but not a lot ,breakfast is ok apparently they have a pork licence but never saw bacon so don't know what that's all about, but plenty of other choices for breakfast.lunch and dinner a bit hit and miss .ENTERTAINMENT .none apart from a rubbish belly dancer and pianist .ALL INCLUSIVE 1beer option, most spirits, coffees, milk shakes, soft drinks ,some cocktails,No ice cream for kids ,I can see why they don't charge for kids under 12 there's nothing ,for them so they don't cost anything. There is a mall next door unfinished but got a supermarket inside which sell ice cream (there's a gap in fence near jetty to get to it) we went every day.THINGS TO DO not a lot you can use doubletree and resort and spa but not much else in area ,couple of malls and a fab waterpark ICELAND it's a must,go midweek we had it all to ourselves but if you go at weekend it's chocker block with locals,we went twice its brill.all in all we had a decent holiday but it reminded me of Turkey ,it is not at all like Dubai, maybe in 10-15yrs it might get there but not now.All I can say is the hotel is nice but old the staff look after you the food is adequate the kids option is rubbish you shouldn't have to wait for kids food to be cooked every night they get bored very easily, the pool wants closing down and totally rebuilding,it needs more entertainment ,however the waterpark is a must and if not all inclusive upgrade its very very expensive £7.00 a pint £3.50 for a coke
This hotel is great value for money when staying in Ras Al Khaimah, the all inclusive option for food and drink works out at better value than paying for everything as it can be very expensive. The hotel is quite old and could do with a face lift but was very clean and facilities were good. Having the use of the resort and spa which is a free 5 minute bus ride away was a real bonus as this is a lovely new hotel and is right on the beach. Staff at the hotel were brilliant, always polite and smiley, no task was ever a problem for them. The staff by the pool were excellent, bringing drinks to our sun loungers and fresh towels. We were also given complimentary late check out as we had a late night flight.
This hotel should be excluded from the Hilton franchise as it is very worn and it come up to the Hilton standards as we know! doors keys were the old style locksmith which is dangerous! reception staff are rude! HHoner are not appreciated or extra taken care of. cheap price but there are better hotels for the same price.
I had only one night stay at Hilton RAK. When I opened the water tap in the wash room, was shocked with water with rest. Upon request for romm change, I got 2options on the same floor (Level-3) but all those were worser than the first. Got another option at the lower level (4th floor) which was comparatively ok. Room interior was not attractive enough for a comfortable stay. Lighting was not suffcient enough. Inspite of all these, I am happy with staff attitude and hospitality.
We went to Ras Al Khaimah for a short weekend break; we went to the Hilton assuming that it would be a proper place to spend the night. However, it was far from being proper or decent, the hotel is totally torn out, the staff is fully incompetent and careless and doesn't have a sense of any customer service. The lobby is too dirty, windows stained and the sofas full of stains too. HK staff decide to clean at any time when they wish. We stepped into the hotel around quarter to 3 in the afternoon, approached the desk for checking in, we asked if we can get a creek view room, at first the receptionist said there were no availability or else we should wait for 30 minutes, we said no and we just wanted to get into the room. Then he told us that there is a room in the fourth floor that is a creek view and asked us to wait for 5 minutes to send someone to see if it is ready or not as it was marked clean on the system, so we paid and sat in the lobby waiting. We ended up waiting in the lobby for more than 45 minutes despite our continuous trips to the desk to make him tell us what's happening but all in vain. So after more than 45 minutes we went to the room and find it a wall view! yes a wall view from the window, the pillow cases were stained and the bathroom curtains were totally torn, no amenities placed at all. It smelled horrible - well the hotel in general smell awful!. We called the chap who checked us in so he said that he will check and call us back in 5 minutes so after 5 minutes my husband decided to go down to find out what's happening. The receptionist told him that the room is shown a creek view on the system and that he is new as he just joined couple of weeks ago, and he went along with my husband to see another room, while opening the door there was a guest inside the room! And at this point we were offered dinner voucher although we are half board and have fully paid!! Then they checked another room which missed coffee, tea and kittle and soap, we called him again and nothing has come for 30 minutes, when we called him back he said that he has already told his colleague. So after 30 minutes a HK staff came knocking on the room to see if we need anything and telling us that no one told him what we need. Then he brought them saying that we should not have them as they don’t provide it to rooms in the 3rd floor! At this point we decided to call the front desk asking for the Duty Manager, he was too kind to come up to our room to talk to us but unfortunately the damage was too much and our day has been already messed up! On another side, the food was horrible we even regretted having the meals. Sorry for the long story, but we have had all these happening in just 24 hours staying at the hotel! We would never ever consider this property or recommend it for anyone and we are too skeptical if we would ever try any other Hilton again. Save your money, save your time and don’t approach this property.
Been home for two weeks now and still looking back on a fantastic holiday. We had a dispute with our travel company in England, nothing to do with the hotel but the hotel reception staff were just fantastic they were so helpful. I would like to say thanks to the pool attendant and towel man. He was there every morning with our towels ready on the sun loungers, so we all would like to say thank you. All the hotel staff were just great, nothing was a problem to them. The service in the dinning room and bars was top dollar. And a big thanks to the head chef and his teem for cooking my lamb chops on the BBQ as a special request they were cooked to perfection. We would like to go back to Dubai and i would definitely stay in this hotel for the service and friendly staff.
We have just returned from another visit to this hotel & enjoyed it as much as we always do. We know that it needs a bit of an upgrade particularly the bathrooms & pool, but the positives always make up for it. The fact that we have returned for the 16th time shows our thoughts. As usual fantastic food, drink & amazing service. Kolbey & Malika; Thank you for making our anniversary so special, Chef Anandu & the team; for the lovely pie - we wish you well, Alan for bringing us drinks around the pool & Hur for making our days so comfortable and entertaining.
The hotel was fantastic, very clean. The only thing that let it down was the bathroom.it was a little tired looking and the bath looked grubby but I think it was just old and they had tried painting it with enamel bit it hadn't worked. When we arrived there was a little bit of scribbling on the wall and in the information book in the room due to previous guests children but as soon as we mentioned it we were offered another room which we didn't take as the room was perfect in every other way.The food was good with a good selection.Concierge was really helpful and staff were friendly.Hired a car and driver for 10 hours on two of the days we stayed so that we could get out and about where we wanted which was a great service to have.Shuttle bus to sister hotel at the beach where we went for lunch two days in a row.Great.Free shuttle bus to Dubai mall is also available once per stay.Good view of creek and pool.We weren't being picked up for airport till 21.30 and checkout would be 14.00 but we were allowed to keep room till 20.00 free of charge.
