Adequate hotel but not enough parking for number of rooms. Hotel is in good location and has lot next to it with Waffle House, but desk advised that cars parked in lot would be towed overnight. I had to park on entry road rather than hotel lot.
Loved the hotel, but make sure you check on reservations and room readiness. No real place to eat within walking distance but good central location. Rooms clean, loved the bathtubs. Parking is sparse.
The room showed age and the bed was uncomfortable. Overall clean hotel and nice lobby. The hotel did have a pool, fitness area and a good location to the local military base. The staff was friendly and check in did not take long.
I stayed at this Hampton for several weeks on business. The main reason was its proximity to work and being under per diem. I hadnt realized before that Hampton is part of Hilton. This facility is clean and well decorated, although not as nice as a Hilton Garden. There are 2 types of rooms, a standard 2 queen room and a much larger 2 queen with a couch suite. Neither has any sort of kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was effective and not too loud. The bathroom was clean but a bit dated. There is a small fridge and a microwave as well. You do get a fair amount of noise through the door that connects the rooms together. Breakfast is free and includes a good selection of hot and cold items but the coffee is just so-so. They have a reception 2 nights a week with snacks and drinks. There is an indoor pool on the first level which is extremely hot and humid inside. There are no washers or dryers onsite, as you will have to walk next door to use the 1 machine at the Wyndham. There are a couple of places to eat nearby within walking distance. Overall a good place to stay but a bit isolated compared to the other parts of town.
Clean, quite, and reasonably priced. What more can you ask for on an overnight business trip. Rooms were clean and the bathroom was immaculate. THe staff was great on check in. Before I forget... the only down part of the stay was the oatmeal in the morning. Really really bad... but the coffee made up for it.
It's can be a crap shoot with Hamptons because some are really nice and updated and some seem to be a old Motel 6 with Hampton logos slapped on. This one fell in the upper middle. I had booked a 2 queen room online and when we got to our room, it was a king. They changed us with no problems and really quickly so that was great. In the queen room, I noticed a big metal box plugged in on the desk. When my husband checked it out, we discovered it was an ozone air scrubber - someone had apparently smoked in that room. I do NOT consider this the hotel's fault (if you really need to smoke that bad, don't be rude & lazy - go outside!) and I was actually impressed with their methods. There was the ozone machine and the carpet was damp from what we assumed was a good cleaning. I noticed an 'off' smell as we walked in but it was very slight and I didn't immediately recognize it as cigarette smoke. I'm incredibly sensitive to that smell so the fact that I didn't run screaming was a big deal!! The breakfast the next morning was really good. They had the premade cheese omelets and they were honestly the best ones I've ever had at a Hampton. No hard, inedible edges or half-cooked middles. I just wish they'd had more than one waffle iron - we were backed up 4 at a time for those!! :) As others have said, parking isn't ideal. The front gets full fast and if you park in the few back slots, you have to walk around uphill or go through the indoor pool area that's very steamy. The one thing that really kept me from giving this hotel Very Good was the beds. They. Were. Horrible. It was like sleeping on a piece of plywood on springs and both beds were this way. I got little to no sleep and my husband and son didn't fare much better. I was so uncomfortable that at 4 am, I got up and slept in the side chair. Other than the beds, it was a nice hotel for the one night we needed on our way to Edisto Island. Next time, I'll know to take a thick matress pad if we stay at this place!
Good value for dollars. Location used by military and business groups. Friendly and professional staff. Accommodations getting a little dated. Close to major highways and shopping. Close to recreation facilities(golf, tennis, etc.) Location great for access to Ft. Gordon.
This is a good, clean hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is high quality for the price with a wide variety of options. We were only in town for the weekend, so our time was limited and we didn't take advantage of the fitness center. However, the location is convenient as it close to the interstate as well as lots of restaurants.
Stayed here briefly while visiting friends. the hotel was quiet and clean, had good service, and delicious food for breakfast. Price was pretty steep though even compared to other Hampton Inns. Easy to find off the freeway. There didn't seem to be a lot of parking spaces: a couple of large trucks filled the lot.
Stayed at this same hotel before and it was great. Apparently they made a change in management, and also with their beds and pillows since our stay the first time. We requested another room but when I checked it out - it was the same so there was no point in moving. We would not stay at this particular hotel again.
